Hi I wanted to get in contact to let you know I’ve been struggling. Working from home has proved challenging for me, particularly in these exceptional times. The lack of distinction between my work life and personal life has taken a toll and I’ve begun to feel burned out. I'm not alone. A poll found that 69% of employees are currently experiencing burnout symptoms while working from home*. As a woman, research by LinkedIn shows I'm particularly vulnerable since I experience greater stress and anxiety working from home than my male counterparts**. This burnout has been affecting my ability to focus, my critical thinking skills and my overall mental health. As you can imagine all these factors will negatively impact my performance at work. This is why I am requesting 4 hours off on Friday the 16th of October, from 12pm - 4pm, to attend REIGNITE: Overcoming Working from Burnout. I would appreciate the business supporting my wellbeing by giving me this time off as paid leave. Reignite is a virtual event run by FIIT Collective and presents a holistic approach to combating burnout. This includes practical tips designed to return balance to my life and help me succeed while working from home. By attending this workshop I will: * Identify, manage and overcome working from home burnout * Learn how to respond to adversity * Discover how to boost my energy, naturally * Learn to work with my Moon Cycle, not against it * Move my body with a full body stretch * Join a guided meditation focused on resilience The workshop will equip me with the tools to manage the challenges of working from home, as well as offer me an opportunity to reset. As a result, I’ll be able to continue working efficiently and effectively. I'd appreciate 10 mins with you to discuss.
